However, these efforts may not be sufficient to meet the growing demand for copper, and prices may increase, potentially delaying the energy transition. The copper supply gap highlights the importance of sustainable mining practices, responsible consumption, and recycling. Governments and industries need to collaborate to ensure a stable supply of copper and develop innovative solutions to reduce the environmental impact of copper mining and production.
